The first days of a New York spring are inevitably filled with lofty plans to spend afternoons outdoors and dressing in not-quite-warm-enough getups that you've been longing to wear for months. My iPhone thermostat hovered in the mid-60s this past Saturday, so we decided to check out Berg'n, a beer hall opened by the crew behind Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg.
While the industrial terrace isn't the cutest I've ever seen, the food options inside make up for any lack of charm. Options include the likes of Ramen Burger, Pizza Moto, Asia Dog, and Mighty Quinn's BBQ. Though we stuck to a simple - albeit indulgent - Dough donut, masterfully paired and rosé and beers.
Berg'n is open 9-late Tuesday-Friday and 10-late Saturday-Sunday. Closed Monday. 889 Bergen between Classon and Franklin.
